We are currently seeking a Branch Manager to oversee and manage our Casselman location. Reporting to the Director, Operations, the ideal candidate will have previous experience in running a branch within the transportation industry and thrive working for a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment that is scaling its operations.

Working out of our Casselman branch, key responsibilities of this role include the following:  

  • Lead the overall success of the branch by maintaining and optimizing branch profitability
  • Grow the business by developing new opportunities
  • Create a best-in-class customer experience by through exceeding customer expectations
  • Implement people strategy that drives engagement and supports retention
  • Lead any change initiative and ensure all relevant information is cascaded to their respective teams.
  • Ensure all branch activities are conducted with compliance to governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

You bring: 

  • Leadership experience, five years or more of management experience with the transportation industry, experience in bus transportation and/or branch management considered an asset
  • University degree or college diploma, university degree in business considered an asset
  • Experience in utilizing, coordinating and balancing resources to increase organizational effectiveness
  • Financial acumen – experienced in budget planning and reporting
  • Computer experience, solid understanding of windows application
  • Strong relationship building and customer service skills, ability to build positive, collaborative working relationships with internal employees including drivers, technicians and co-workers as well as external industry stakeholders including Consortium General Managers, staff and school board officials as well as government agencies (MOT, MOE, Municipal Regulators and Compliance Officers)
  • Strong communications skills, demonstrated ability to communicate with others in a clear and concise manner, easily adapts communication style to the audience to ensure desired message is understood, remains calm and professional when delivering difficult information or communicating under challenging circumstances
  • Mentoring and coaching skills, ability to develop others and provide a supportive environment for colleagues to learn and grow, comfortable in providing feedback and working with employees on addressing performance gaps
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Team player, demonstrates effective interpersonal skills and works cooperatively across the organization to achieve common goals, speaks positively of the organization and is a positive role model for others.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is required
